Dawson Jennifer: The Ordination Training Mat: Towards A Coherent Frame Of Priestly Formation MMin thesis Univ. of Otago 2003
This thesis is basically about training for fulltime ministrry, but some of it applies to PSE training -

"Coming to ordination training at an older age ... means that many ordinands have a high level of secular professional experience, involving not only the acquisition of skills but also a significant course of education and expectations of training processes." [Quote p.7]

"In the Anglican Church there has always been, and continues to be, an indispensable role for a more formally constituted priesthood. The ordination rites show that this is focused in someone who is especially called, prepared, and ordained to word and sacrament. In Anglican understanding the ordained ministry is seen as foundational to the life and character of the church, and in some way particularly expressive of the life of Christ within the whole people of God." [Quote p.9]
