Buckle E.G: Paroika - The House Alongside (Auckland: Diocese of Auckland 1978)
Ted Buckle is a guru in matters relating to PSE. This book is an account of the South Auckland Experiment -- developments in ministry in some of Auckland's new urban areas -- in which PSE idea is very much part of the thinking.
A statement on training is included -- it comes verbatim from John Mullane Director of Training for his diocese. The proposals for content are much the same as in other statements on that matter; it is the section on implementation that makes a specific contribution.

"Pre-ordination training is but part of a life long process of education which should pass into a regular programme of continuing and post-ordination training" [Quote p. 99]

"It is important that the training group provide an avenue for discussion and the growth of mutual support. Regular meetings (some weekend residential) of the whole training group and some regular meeting of smaller groups are essential." [Quote p 99]

"Any sort of education is potentially 'person changing' and our experience indicates that many candidates go through a number of challenging experiences as part of their learning. ... It is important for candidates to recognise the need to have a regular meeting with some supervisor-counsellor who will sensitively help him/her with understanding." [Quote p. 99]

"An important part of a learning programme ... is an ability to evaluate it. ... write a full self-assessment each year [which] will be discussed in a small-group forum and feedback provided" [Quote p. 99]
